During 2014, Hilltop Diving was privileged to be selected by Cigna Insurance to train the world’s first female quadruple amputee on independent SCUBA. After a serious blood infection, Chrissy Kaestle lost all four limbs as doctors struggled to save her life. Undaunted, Chrissy sought new experiences which didn’t rely on the use of hands and feet. Meet Chrissy on this short documentary produced by Cigna Insurance:
'A Happy Little Fish'

This 40 foot deep grotto is currently under construction at our Schwenksville location and was recently featured in Northeast Dive News Online.
This grotto is the only one of its kind in the world. When complete, we will be equipped to offer year-round indoor training AND certification without having to take expensive and time consuming trips to lakes, quarries or involving long distance travel.
In addition to being able to certify on-site, our facilities will include living accommodations for individuals and groups.

This includes specialized training, custom fabricated assistive equipment, and under-water video taping for self-evaluation. Our grotto will offer easy entry and exit for those with disabilities since it was specifically designed from the ground up to accommodate divers with physical disabilities.
